Tim Aslin Seeks County Treasurer’s Post in 2008

Tim Aslin, well known community banker and Dexter City Councilman has announced he will seek the democratic nomination for the position of Stoddard County Treasurer / Collector in the 2008 election.

Aslin is a Stoddard County native and career financial professional with over 22 years banking and accounting experience.  He has also served three terms as a Dexter City Councilman and is currently President of that board.

“The Treasurer is really the banker for the county.  While I was opposed to the recent change that did away with the Township Collectors, it makes the job of County Treasurer even more critical.  Now, more than ever, it is important for an experienced financial professional to manage our money."

"While I am proud of my professional background, I must say that growing up on the family farm east of Bloomfield taught me a great deal about the value of a dollar and I have never forgotten those common sense lessons from my childhood.”

Tim is a Bloomfield High School graduate and earned a Business Administration degree from Southeast Missouri State University.  He and his wife, Lesa (Bender) Aslin of Puxico have been married for over 20 years.  They have one daughter, Jennifer, age 13.
